Wood is our main material and source of inspiration. We believe that the world needs modern inspiring design with a respect for traditional handwork. We put emphasis on environmental issues in every production phase and maintain an ecological approach in all design and packaging. All Tunto products are handmade with love at our own workshop in Järvenpää, Finland. Tunto is lead by founder, owner and award-winning designer Mikko Kärkkäinen. Mikko’s passion is to create unique designs that feel just right and make a difference, while maintaining that certain magical touch of the Scandinavian aesthetics which all the legendary Finnish designers are known for. With Tunto, Mikko aims to dive even deeper into innovative and timeless design and come up with innovative creations that combine wooden and modern technology – all in the unique spirit that has earned Tunto its worldwide fame.
